Brewing Guide of Koffee Kult Dark Roast Review
Do you need help to brew or do you want to try something new? You should know the brewing process before the start.
This guide definitely will help you to brew your favorite coffee with different brewing methods. Follow the simple method with Pour Over, French Press, Chemex, Cold Brew, AeroPress.
Brewing With Pour Over
- Bring enough water to a temperature just below the boiling point (~ 200 ° F / ~ 93 ° C) to brew Koffee Kult coffee and preheat the V60 decanter.
- Weigh 20 grams of whole bean coffee and grind medium.
- Place the filter on the decanter of V60.
- Pour some hot water around the paper filter, to remove paper flavor and preheat the V60 and decanter. So throw the water away.
- Place the coffee grounds into the V60 filter and shake for a uniform distribution.
- Pour enough water to evenly saturate the ground and rest for 30 seconds or how long it will take to stop flowering.
- Pour the remaining water continuously and evenly into a circle on the ground and move in and out of the circle. The coffee level should be just above the ground.
- Be careful not to pour water directly on the filter at any time and try to maintain a constant volume of water throughout the process.
- After the coffee has flowed into the carafe by 2:30 in the morning, you should also be able to see the walls of the ground with a uniform bed towards the bottom of the cone.
- Throw away the filter with ground coffee, rinse the V60 quickly, have fun.
Brewing With French Press
Since some systems can be a little more complicated, Koffee Kult recommends following the instructions below when using a French press.
- Boil about 10.5 ounces of water at 200 degrees.
- Grind 20 grams of 100% Arabica Medium Roast coffee beans coarsely.
- Fill your French press with ½ boiling water and press the piston to the bottom and turn it. This will help warm the French press to be ready for use. Pour after 10 seconds of rotating water.
- This part is called “blooming”. Pour 20 grams of ground coffee into a French press and pour 5 ounces of water on top, make sure you distribute the water evenly and saturate all the coffee grounds.
- Allow the water to settle on saturated ground for 30 seconds, and then gently mix the coffee for five seconds to destroy the crust-like layer formed during flowering.
- After everything is evenly mixed with the first five ounces of water, pour the remaining five ounces of water on top, put the cap on your Frenchpress and make sure that the piston is completely up.
- Let the coffee flow for another four minutes.
- Press the plunger very slowly and carefully to filter the ground from the coffee.
- Do not leave it in the French press for too long, otherwise your coffee will suffer; instead, pour your coffee right away and enjoy!
Brewing With Chemex
- Place the Chemex filter in the brewing unit. You make sure that one layer is away from the outlet and several layers are line up with the outlet.
- Moisten the filter with hot water so that it fits snugly to the edges of the mouth, and then pour out excess water.
- Weigh about 50 grams of your favorite Koffee Kult coffee, put it in a rough state and put it on your scale in your brewery, then reset the scale.
- Boil 1.200-1.400 grams Chemex water in 6 cups.
- When you start pouring hot water into the filter, set a timer immediately.
- Pour hot water until all Arabica coffee grounds are filled.
- Mix the saturated mass with a stir bar so that no lumps remain.
- When the timer reaches 45 seconds, start the second fill. Start this filling using an oscillating motion, then switch to a smooth rotary motion until the Chemex nozzle is just filled from your fingertip from the top – otherwise about 450 g of water is poured.
- When the timer reaches 1 minute 45 seconds, fill your Chemex brewing machine with about 700 g of water.
- When your time relay reaches 4 minutes, your Chemex should be close enough to 1200 g full volume.
- Look at the glass foam that shows you have about 20 ounces.
- Lift the filter and let it drain for a few seconds, then pull out the Chemex filter completely and discard it.
- Rotate your Chemex to mix the brew a little, pour your favorite mug, and enjoy! You must have 2 cups to indulge or share yourself!
Brewing With Cold Brew
- Take a pound of your favorite Koffee Kult coffee and coarsely grind it.
- Combine a pound of koffee cult coffee with a pound of water.
- Put the coffee grounds in the filter of carafe.
- Cover the filter and fill with cold water.
- Place the lid on the cold brew jug and let it rest at room temperature for at least 12 hours. Remember for cold beer: the longer it stays the better.
- When time runs out, voila! Pour your delicious cult iced coffee on ice, add flavored syrup, a milk carafe and everything your heart desires and enjoy a nice cold brew!
Brewing With Aeropress
With AeroPress, you can go to any store, buy a glass of hot water and make yourself a perfect mug in the parking lot. Conversions say that this makes the best coffee even at home.
- Measure and grind the coffee beans. This is the key to a better glass of coffee.
- Place the filter in a small black “basket”. Attach it to the bottom of the brewing chamber.
- Preheat the brewing chamber and pour hot water. This eliminates paper odor and prepares AeroPress. Discard the wash water.
- Put the brewer in the glass and add coffee. You can use the funnel to load the coffee included in the set. Otherwise, if you want everything will be simple.
- Start the timer when you pour water into your brewery. Saturate all the ground coffee particles for 10 seconds.
- Fill the brewing chamber number 4, and then mix the coffee and water. A handle has included so that you can use the appropriate one.
