What To Consider For A Perfect Cup of Coffee?

It is generally accepted that four essential elements are required for a perfect cup of coffee.

Fresh Water

Water quality is as important as coffee quality. If your water is not delicious from the tap, it will not taste better in your coffee. For this reason, Cuisinart has added a water filter to the fully automatic Burr Grind & Brew coffee machine.  A carbon water filter eliminates the chlorine, unpleasant tastes, and odors of the freshest cup of coffee at all times.

Coffee Bean

Although most of the liquid is water, all the coffee flavor comes from coffee beans. To get the same high-quality coffee you get at the coffee bar, you need to use the same quality beans. For maximum freshness, buy fresh and whole beans in just two weeks.

Whole Bean Coffee

When the bean is broken, its taste deteriorates very quickly. That’s why the fully automatic Burr Grind & Brew coffee machine grinds your coffee just before brewing it. It is recommended to freeze the beans in airtight containers immediately after purchase.

The perfect way to get freshness is to reduce exposure to air, light, and moisture. Therefore, as soon as the beans are removed from the freezer, store them in an airtight container at room temperature because damage occurs whenever the beans are removed from the freezer or refrigerator.

While it is better to use fresh, whole bean coffee, you can make coffee in a coffee machine using ground beans. To do this, turn off the grinder by pressing the “Grind Off” button before turning on the device.

It is recommended to use 1 spoon of ground coffee per cup and adjust the amount as desired. The maximum capacity of ground coffee is 16 measuring spoons using a paper or permanent filter. Exceeding this amount may cause an overflow.

Coffee Bean Grinding

The grinding of coffee is fundamental for the correct extraction of the taste. If the grinding is very good, it leads to excessive extraction and bitter taste.

Very fine grinding can also block the filter. If the grind is too coarse, the water flows very quickly and the desired aromas are not extracted.

However, the fully automatic Burr Grind & Brew coffee machine is designed for medium grinding in order to obtain the most suitable grinding for such coffee machines.

Use the Right Amount of Coffee

The fully automatic Burr Grind & Brew coffee maker produces twelve cups of coffee, which may be 54 ounces. We recommend using 1 tablespoon of ground coffee per cup and adjust the desired quantity.

The maximum capacity of the ground coffee is 16 scoops with paper or permanent filter. Exceeding this amount may result in an overflow.

How to Make Great Coffee Using Whole Beans

Fill the Water Tank

Remove the cover of the water tank. Fill the water tank with the required amount of water using the water level indicator. Don’t overcome 12 cup lines; this can cause overflow to a carafe. Then cover the water tank with the tank lid.

 Add Beans

Using the recess on both sides, lift the hopper lid, and then fill the bean container. It is recommended to keep at least half of the chamber full. Make sure there is enough grain in your hopper for the coffee you want to brew.

The hopper can be removed for easy filling by turning the hopper release button to the unlocked position.

Note. Do not allow water to enter the device after removal. Water entering the coffee grinder can cause engine damage and malfunction.

Lock Hopper

After removing the hopper from the device, make sure that the hopper release lever is in the open position, then reinstall the hopper. Turn the handle to the locked position. This device is equipped with a safety lock.

The device does not perform the grinding process if the hopper is not attached properly. If you try to open the grinding unit without the hopper attached, it will beep continuously until a missing piece is installed.

The brewing process can be continued by pressing the ON button. Restarting the process that does not affect the coffee results.

Insert Coffee Filter

Open the filter cover by pressing the button to open the filter basket cover. Take out the filter basket cover and place a paper filter or a goldtone permanent filter in the basket. The device is equipped with a safety lock.

The units will not work if the filter basket cover is not installed or the filter cover is not closed properly. If you attempt to open the device while the filter compartment is missing, the device will emit a continuous beep until the missing parts are installed.

During and After Brewing

Using the brew-pause function, the carafe can be removed from the heating plate during the brewing process. The brewing process doesn’t break during this period; only the flow of coffee stops.

Do not remove the carafe for more than 20 seconds, otherwise, coffee may be poured into the basket. Although Cuisinart offers this feature, it is not recommended to pour coffee at the beginning of the cycle.

Since the coffee prepared at the beginning of the cycle has a completely different taste profile than the coffee produced at the end of the cycle.

Removing the carafe during cooking changes the taste of the finished blanket. Five beeps sound at the end of the cooking cycle. Coffee will continue to leak from the file for a few seconds.
